Ananke lives in Rome and no longer wants to return to her "places of the soul".
Piero lives in Bergamo, is a psychiatrist, his life is centered only on his work and on the desire to help his patient Ania, who has lived for years in the Institute where he works, brought there by his uncles, to whom the girl was been entrusted after the death of parents. A conference in Rome in which the doctor will participate thanks to the pressures of his friend Luca, turns out to be the place of a chance encounter between man and woman, lives that intertwine and recede to then find themselves in those places where the empty stones they don't hurt anymore.
Two women distant but united by the same nightmare, by sleepless nights.
And then the truth, the one that hits you like a slap in the face, the truth that frees but at the same time kills.

the writer

Marianna Trotta is born in Maratea, spends her childhood and adolescence in the Lucanian town, where she gradually begins to cultivate her passion for literature.

He moves to Salerno to continue his secondary education.

In the city of Naples, he begins to teach at a private institution, entering the world of schooling.

Wife and mother of a child, in 2015 she returned to Maratea where she teaches at the primary school.

President of the Cultural Center Jose Mario Cernicchiaro of Maratea.

The Empty Stones is his first published short story.
