Also for 2016 Maratea can boast this important recognition that rewards the beauty, nature and quality of the services of its beaches, along with 152 other seaside resorts and lake of Italy.

The "GREEN FLAG" initiative was created to identify the coasts suitable for children, both for services and for safety. Curated by Doctors Pediatricians Association, the list includes 134 locations including even once Maratea, and remains a valuable tool to choose where to spend summer holidays or just a weekend at the beach with the kids.

With 5 sails prize of this year,  Maratea is full of environmental and tourist acknowledgment that they see always at the top in Italy with regard to land conservation and environmental protection.

The Lega Ambiente acknowledgment is perhaps the most welcome because it rewards the effort made in recent years by the Maratea administrations to maintain the high level of separate collection services and water treatment.
