The beach of Secca in Castrocucco is one of the most evocative spots on the coast of Maratea.

Near the beach is the Baronal Palace of the noble Labanchi family, with an attached chapel (now desecrated).
On the hill behind the beach stands the Castle of Castrocucco, an ancient medieval stronghold.
